A domain is the name that identifies you on the internet. For example AW CompuTech Ltd uses the domain awcomputech.com. You can have as many domains as you feel the need to register, for example AW CompuTech has also registered awcomputech.co.uk.

It is important to register domains for your business. Even if you are not going to have a website at the momement if you register appropriate domains it will prevent others cybersquatting - registering domain in your name or one of your trademarks and offering to sell you the domain at vast cost. It is possible to recover a trademark that another party is cybersquatting on, but it is a long drawn out process - it is better to reserve your names now.
